El verano de verdad = The real summer

Luego de casi un mes de verano 'oficial' hemos podido disfrutar de un buen clima. Temperaturas cerca de los 30°C, algo de sol y aquella tan extrañada sensación pegajosa por el calor. Estoy contento y feliz aunque los holandeses no paran de decir 'está muy caluroso'. Vamos, no hay nada tan lindo como esto. Por desgracia no va a durar mucho, hay algunas tormentas en todos los alrededores de Eindhoven y las temperaturas están bajando...

Y tomando ventaja del buen clima, con algunos amigos fuimos a Scheveningen (la Mardel holandesa) a la playa. Llegamos tarde (tipo 6pm, luego de algunos atascos de tráfico), pero la playa estuvo de 10, soleado, cálido y mates mediantes. Luego de la puesta del sol, y una caminata a lo largo de la playa, nos volvimos a casa. ¡Bárbaro! Y el día anterior, un mini-tour por Bélgica (Bruselas y Brujas)(2). El clima se comportó de 10, pero es una pena que dure tan poco.

After a almost one month within the 'official' summer, we have enjoyed a very nice weather. Temperatures near 30°C, some sun and that missed sticky sensation because of the warmness. I feel happy although many Dutch just say 'It's too hot'. Come on! nothing so nice like this. Unfortunely, this will not last long, there are storms all around Eindhoven, and temperatures are dropping down...

Taking advantage of the good weather, with some friends we went to Scheveningen, to the beach. We arrived late (6pm, after some traffic jams), but it was OK, sunny, warm and mates(1) in the middle! After the sunset, and a walk along the beach, came back home. Cool! And the day before, a mini-tour through Belgium (Brussels and Brugges)(2). The weather behaved very good. It's a shame it only lasts so short.
